Installation of a Luxury Boutique Passenger Lift (4 stop, 250 kg load capacity) in a London Mews House.
Pictured below are photos of one of our latest projects for a special luxury made to measure small lift that we have supplied and installed in a private property with a roof terrace situated in a prestigious London private gated mews.
The project initially involved us in designing a custom sized lift shaft to fit into the limited space available within the property. This bespoke home lift has a fully enclosed lift car with one touch operation (as opposed to hold to run operation). Other bespoke features of the lift include 2 hours fire rated landing lift doors finished in a special RAL colour and also customised landing call buttons.
Technical details: Internal Lift Shaft Dimensions – (small) only 1100mm x 920mm. Lift Travel – 4 stops / levels: between new basement conversion, ground, 1 & 2 floors. Load Capacity – 250kg (3 person). Lift Type – fully automatic platform lift. Busmatic car doors with 2 hr fire rated landing swing doors. Headroom at top of shaft -2350mm. Pit depth – under 200mm.
Steel support now in place at rear of new lift shaft.
Lift guide rails and brackets now fixed in position.
This new basement conversion required for the whole of the basement to have water tanking protection. The new steel support specified by the structural engineer need to be designed to take loadings and forces applied by the operation of the lift as the wall was not suitable to fix to.
